The setting is the UK, and the time is seven minutes after midnight. Someone has killed the neighbor’s dog, Wellington, with a garden fork. 15-year-old Christopher John Francis Boone is determined to solve the case, but to do so, he must face challenges he has never faced and brave a world he has never braved.
